89 pickup with chevy heartbeat

Im doing a complete chevy swap into my 89 toyota pick up and im looking for advice on what springs i should use front and rear. im keeping full width full size axels for now to keep cost low and to get it built. Should i re use my toy springs in the rear and use front or rear chevy springs for the front? The springs came out of a 82 and i have both the front and rear springs. Kinda lost and looking for direction on the suspension. Will post pics soon as i figure out how from phone ... no computer :p

RUF front, Chevy 63" rear. Never seen someone use Chevy springs in the front of an SAS'd rig. But RUF is quite common.

the chevy springs are a little to long to use in the front unless you want some FJ40 type overhang. ill check into the speedo but not sure off hand but i think advanced adaptors has what your looking for..

They definately make an adaptor cable somewhere, I remember seeing it. I'll think on it and see if i can remember the brand... Why not use the chevy fronts in the rear and the toyota rears in the front? We know the rears up front work, and woulnt the chevy fronts in the rear be too stiff if anything? And you can always fix that by removing leafs...

Chevy 63's from what I know anyway (no experience with them personally) is that they are actually softer then the yota springs. If not technically softer, they are longer thus giving them a softer feel. It's one of the reason why I believe they flex alot better.

I know, but he wants a low cost to get it built... if he just threw the chevy front springs in the back i think it would work fine... They are longer than the toyota rears aren't they?

Yeah, takes some modding the spring hangers front and rear though. Extremely easy if you know how to weld.
