85 Straight Axle Clicking
Hey y’all, just rebuilt my front axle 600 miles ago and now I’ve got a clicking sound coming from the passenger side. It sounds like a rock stuck in the tire but it’s definitely not🤣. Not an issue with the brakes as far as I can tell and I don’t have the slightest clue. My gut tells me wheel bearing but I don’t want to tear it apart again, the sound does 1 click per tire rotation it seems. Has anyone had this happen to them or have the slightest clue?

I assume (there's that word) that you packed the birfield and the pocket with grease? Jack up that side so you can spin the tire and see if the same thing happens with no load/weight on it. Wheel bearing lock tab washer? Either way you're going to get your hands dirty

I am assuming you have manual hubs, like Mech said, jack it up and spin the tire to see if you hear anything.
check wheel bearings, but also loosen the bolts for your manual hub and pull it out 1/8 inch and see if the noise goes away.
I've seen them not quite put back together right and making noise when unlocked.
other option is to lock one hub at a time and see if the noise goes away.
