85-86 body part compatability

Hey guys!

We're back at work on my son's truck now since his football season is over and I have another newbie question. His truck is an '85 4x4. Will the hood and front fenders off an '86 4x4 bolt up? Also, the '86 I'm looking at is carbureted just like his truck. Will the fuel sending unit off the '86 work for his truck? I saw in the FAQ about the generation the trucks are, but there still seems to be a gray area. I realize the efi and the ifs are new on '86's but as far as looks go, they seem the same. Will it work? Thanks for any input!

Chuck

as far as i know the only thing that really changed from 85-86 was the front suspension. so it should all work.

front suspension, steering, grilles, headlight bezels (IIRC), instrument cluster background, and some other little subtleties.... I'm sure there are more, but as far as bodies go, just the grilles and possibly the headlight bezels are different.
