3vze Code 11

my truck is showing a code 11 when jumping the e1 to t connectors. Its a 1988 3vz and when its not jumped the check engine light will not come on. Truck runs fine but i wouldnt be suprised if the previous owner got into the wiring somewhere. I found plenty of threads that say what a code 11 is but nobody explains what causes it or fixes it. Any ideas?

What causes/fixes it is pretty well covered in this thread.

In short...

It would have to be caused by one(or more) of the issues, or components malfunctioning, listed below.
  • Faulty wiring and/or ground connections
  • Ignition Switch
  • EFI Main Relay
  • Vehicle Speed Sensor
  • ECU
