3.0 won't start
Greetings to all. Newbie here with starting issues. My story is: Bought this 1993 4Runner, 3.0, 5spd, 202000 miles on April 6. On April 12 it wouldn't start or even roll over-appeared the started had failed. I pulled it and had it tested and the starter was okay-turned out to be the signal wire to the coil.
Put the starter back on Friday the 13th and now I can't get it to start. Rolls over good, spark to the plugs, rotor indicates the engine is in time (or extremely close), fuel smell as if it is flooding.
I have pulled the cold start injector and it is not leaking-but vehicle still wouldn't start.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Sorry for being so long winded.
Gene

What is your Location? Have you checked Codes? (this is the most important, as it will lead you to the main problem)
Use the wiring diagrams in the FSM (link in my signature) check the diagnostic MFI system link, and if still needed, test continuity on all the wiring related to the MFI system.

Thanks for the speedy reply 93toyrunner2. I am in central lower Michigan. No I haven't checked codes as I don't have anything to check them with. I will probably just break down and take it to the garage-didn't want to put more money into this vehicle but . . . oh well.

Do you have a paper clip?

Okay, first, thanks for the speedy reply and the help. The paperclip trick gives me a steady, rapidly blinking light that the FSM says is Normal System Operations, no malfunction. I am an "old school" type of person-points/condensor and carbs are my thing so I appreciate your efforts to help out.
