2wd with hubs locked

I drove around for a day in 2wd with my hubs locked. Had to pull over cause of intense vibration in the front. I unlocked them and now things seem fine. Does anyone know how much damage i did and what i damaged?

If you don't have a lift it shouldn't damage anything. Lifts put extra stress on CV joints unless the diff is dropped to restore CV angles. You probably have a bad CV joint causing the vibration when you lock the hubs the CV is always turning

Could also be a bad ujoint in the front driveshaft.

I would want to get this fixed before you need to use your 4 wheel drive.

You can also leave the hubs unlocked and run the transfer case in 4WD, I do this once in awhile to turn the oil and lube seals and spin the front driveshaft.
The front drive shaft can vibrate a little but its no big deal since its only use once in awhile, But if it seems to shake hard check it out.

Back to the point.
Most likely the bushings are dried out where the outer CV axel goes through the wheel hub.
This happens over a period of time and if auto hubs were used for an extensive time.

There is no way to grease these unless you remove the whole CV axel or whole spindle assembly off the outer CV axel.

Also as mentioned above if you have a excessive lift kit and not dropped the diff you need to do that to relief the angle on the CV joints.

You can also make a tool to grease the spindle without removing it...
