22rte swap into an 85' re

I have an 85' truck w a 22re. I have an opportunity to purchase an 87' rte engine. The rte has everything except the wiring harness and computer.
Will my wiring harness and computer work with the rte?

I would think there are going to be some sensor's for the turbo that the stock 85 harness will not have. and I'm sure the ecu will not work but I've never done a conversion... I am willing to bet it shouldn't be to hard to find both of the units you'll need on CL. Good luck!

Computer will not work, as for sensors im sure there are extras with the turbo that arent on the regular harness, but hey, they dont call em wire splicers for nothing..right..

I Just Read Some Info By User: Mistreated Toys, Title: 22rte Swap, Posted 9-26-2008, That Says He's Done The Swap. He Claims Thta The
22efi Computer Will Work And That The Harness May Work Depending On Connectors. Check It Out. He Says Thta I Propably Would Need A Maf Sensor And Some Air Box Adjustments.

Is Ther Anybody Else Out Ther That's Done The Swap?
