22re drivebelt change

I want to replace the Drive-belt of my 2re because of excessive wear. In order to take the belt off, is it necessary to remove the other two belts? Would I need a timing gun for any of this work? I've been searching for awhile now, and have come up with nothing... Is there a DIY site out there? I have the Haynes Book, but it's not specific enough for a newb like me.

Please respond, thank you!

You mean Fan belt, or do you mean timing chain? What is belt (?) connected to. More info please. I am sure many can help you in here.

Depends, i know you need to take the one belt off to get to the alt belt.
And no need for a timing gun.

Make sure you unbolt the bolt that holds on the pulley on the tensioner first, then the adjuster bolt..

It's one belt that drives the fan and alt.

So, I just have to loosen the tensioner to slip off the belts?

I'm going to attempt this tomorrow, so i'll keep you posted.

Thanks guys
