22re coolant system question.

I'm having problems with my truck it's a 88 cab with a 22re crate motor that has around 25k miles on it and the guy I got it from says the cooling system was getting to much pressure and he replaced the water pump, radiator and cap. The truck doesn't over heat, smoke and its not mixing oil to coolant or coolant to oil also nothing is coming out of the exhaust. I put a 16psi pressure cap on it and drove it for about a hour in a half yesterday and it had just a tiny bit leak out. What else would cause this problem to happen? Ill be daily driving the truck that's the only reason I'm worried about it.

Just what problem are you trying to say you are having ??

16psi might be a little high I think the factory ones are 13PSI

If your pushing a little coolant out it will till it finds the level where it runs at.

Now constant pushing out coolant is not good.

If you really think you have a problem pressure test the system

Too much pressure??? Hmm. Does it overheat?
if not don't worry about it , get a higher pressure cap.
You can diagnose it for hours/days. If you want Go over every cooling system component. Time and possibly money.
Like I said if it runs fine don't worry about high coolant sys pressure.
Also, where did it leak out from??

It just leaked a very very little from the cap meaning that the system is getting over 16 psi of pressure but its not going to the over flow. And no sir it doesn't over heat and its not mixed coolant and oil

If it pushed out the cap it might be the wrong kind.

I have had problems with the made in China Stant caps I just bought a bunch from Toyota
