22r timing chain wear, pics

Im currently swapping engines and im curious about the amount of play in the timing chain on the 22r im swapping in.

you are going to have play , your tensioner works off oil pressure,as long as the guides are intact you should be good.

Yeah the chain gets tighter once the oil pump is running.

cman1 is right. If the chain were too loose, you'd see major grooves in the guides, or they'd be gone completely and lying in your oil pan.
