Unhappy 2007 4Runner died while driving and restarted no problem

I have a 2007 4Runner VVTi 4.7L V8.

While stopped at a light the A/T OIL TEMP light came on as well as the check engine light, it sputtered down real low, and then the engine died. I restarted the engine with no problems and the lights shut off. Before she died, she felt sluggish. Nothing like this has ever happened before.

Any suggestions? I'm scared!

Probably an electrical bug of some sort. Transmission oil temp should not kill your engine as a fail safe. I'm not even sure that low oil pressure will give a shutdown signal due to safety issues that may be caused by loss of engine power in traffic. You need to have your logged codes checked to see what caused the lights. If you don't have any, then you have a bad electrical connection, short or alternator/battery issue.

Is there anything else you can tell us? Even if you think it is completely unrelated. One more clue may lead us to what caused your issue.
