Exclamation 1999 4Runner Suspension questions

Alright, I have been to a few places and cant figure out the suspension. I checked out the stickies still couldnt get an answer. So ill just lay out my questions hopefully yall can help me out. Im Looking for some new shocks to replace the OEM ones. I dont need a lift. but if i do....

Alright So i need new Shocks I have no idea which ones to get. Im kinda on a budget i was looking at some Gabriel shocks but they only have them for the rear.

1. Is there shocks i can buy that i can use for all 4 tires?
or do you HAVE to buy seperate shocks for the front and rear?

2. Like the Rancho RS5000 Or can i only use those for the Rear?

All i need is new shocks for right now. Just some replacement for the OEM Ones maybe a step up in performance since i do plan on off roading.

3. If i wanted a lift later on down the road would i just buy coils?

**4. Could i buy the Pro Comp ES 3000 and be fine installing those on all 4 wheels?

front shocks and rear shocks are very different. if you are keeping the stock springs then you dont need to go all out on shocks.

if you do decide to lift your best bet is going with some coilovers. if you decide to go the shock/spring as i did (several years ago) you will need:

front shocks
front springs
rear shocks
rear springs
differential drop
spacers for front

and then possibly extended brake lines.
