1999 4Runner Limited Windshield seal

so i was driving down the road the other day and happened to touch the left seal on my windshield. it felt like it was raised up which i have never seen before. upon further inspection i noticed that the same was true for the right side. now i don't think that this is a random coincidence and after searching around the forums i want to say the reason it is raised is because it is a rain gutter seal of some kind. can anyone verify that this is true?

You mean you were touching the outer seal or you have rubber sealant that has seeped inside? Your description/question has me and 77 other folks apparently baffled
