1996 Taco rear-end in 2002?

Hello all. Newbie here.
I have a 2002 Tacoma TRD 4x4 w/ 120K on it.
It has a replacement frame. Body is in fair shape.
Has the dreaded leaking rear diff. Tried a bunch of different band aids with no permanent luck.
A buddy of mine just took a beat, rotted, 1996 Taco on trade with a newer southern replacement rear end. He's offered it to me.
Gear ratio codes are the same. Mine has a locker, this one doesn't.
I assume it will swap right into my 02??
