So I have a 1993 Toyota pick up I have been doing the Dana 44 and Gm 12 bolt swap on. I have everything complete and rolling down the road but for some reason the back brakes (that I did a disc swap on) keep sticking. Seems as if they are not releasing all the way. I have the toyota booster chevy 1ton master chevy calipers and roasters all the way around front brakes work fine only seems like back brakes are sticking. If I pop the bleeder valve after hitting the brakes truck will roll freee any advice or any one have this problem??
If you have a master cylinder for front disc and rear drum they probably have a residual valve in the rear output port. They are designed to hold a few PSI in the rear drum circuit so you don't have to pump up the rear shoes. It allows them to retract off the drums but not too far. There are adapters to run a GM master cylinder on the Toyota booster.
