1993 4x4 shock bolt size?
Hi all,
Found out yesterday that my truck (1993 4x4 pickup) is going to need a bit more work than planned. I've got to do some work on the steering, and my rear shocks were shot. I normally replace front and rear at the same time.
The rear shocks came off without a problem. The fronts are giving me a bit of trouble. The lower bolts are seized, even after a soaking in PB. I've got to torch off a bunch of other hardware tomorrow, so I figured I'd cut the lower bolts while I'm at it.
Are these lower bolts something I can replace with regular grade 8, or do I need to get these from yota? If I can get by with grade 8, what size? would lock washers be ok, or do I need to go with lock nuts?
Thanks!
