1992 Toyota pickup 22 RE fuel pump question

Greetings all !
I could use some expert advice so thanks in advance to any and all. My son and I are prepping a 92 2 wheel drive Toyota pickup to do a little short track racing. Having removed the stock fuel tank per track rules I need advice on required fuel pressure and suggestions for an in-line fuel pump and after market pumps available....or do's and donts. We will be pumping from a boat tank mounted in the pickup bed. Should we run a continous feed pump or something that builds up pressure and shuts off ? What does the 22RE require for pressure ? We have to run a return line to the tank (plastic) so its not going to be a closed pressurized system.
