1991 4Runner 3.0 A/T. Returning to previous glory?

Took a 91 4runner on trade. 3.0 A/T. It runs ok and it sorta drives. When I pulled the codes a couple months ago I believe there was 3 tranny codes and 4 engine codes. After looking them all up and prioritizing decided to get the tranny sorted first.

When I got it the tranny worked, but wouldn't shift into second, or down into first without manual shifting. So I bought new shift solenoids but haven't had time to install them.

While waiting for solenoids to arrive I'd drive it every other day or so and one day it doesn't seem to have ANY power anymore, like I have it floor and can't get past 25 regardless of gear, and the check engine light has come on. Now the engine seems to be a bigger priority than the tranny.

The A/T oil temp light has also permanently come on and doesn't go off. Even after its been sitting for 2 days the at oil light is on as soon as you start it.

I tried to pull the new codes but after reconnecting the ecu (removed bat neg day before) and running it briefly, I jumpered te1 and e1, and the check engine light just blinks super fast consistantly... no stops... no different timing (like when I pulled the coeds first time).

I'm going to try again this morning and I'll update and post all the codes its throwing.

tps sensor is a good possibility. it uses it for the shift schedule.

Ok pulled the codes. There are way less codes than before, maybe it hasn't had time to register any (didn't even make it 4 blocks in my neighborhood) or maybe the PO never reset the system... dunno.

Anyways engine is throwing code 52, and from the threads I've read briefly... there is no sure fix for this, and it is frustrating to diagnose.

The tranny is throwing code 62, which appears to be a solenoid... which I already knew about.

What is the best service manual for this generation? I have a haynes but I just don't like it much.
