I just had a new head installed. Prior to that this is how my truck started: Cold starts were immediate. After driving it awhile, then shut it off, it took along time to start but if i continued it would eventually start. Occassionally, when turning the key, there would be a few second delay before the starter finally kicked on. Then I blew a head gasket and had a new head installed. The mechanic completed the job and it started and ran fine even though he broke the "cold start injector time switch" which was not connected. Over the next few days, it took longer and longer to start. I had to wait 5 or 10 minutes and then it would start. Eventually...nothing. I sprayed starting fluid into the intake and it started immediately but ran only until the fluid was used up. I got a used cold start time switch and installed it. Still it wouldn't start. The mechanic tried to replace the fuel pump relay that was above the ecu in the passenger kick panel but that didn't solve the problem either. I'm out of ideas and need help!!!
