Maybe a little Hint just what your Game plan is?? Because of the Age finding parts might be interesting !!
Nothing but hard Surface Roads but for the Campground?
Looking to explore the Back Country lots of seldom maintained roads ??
Hauling the least about of weight but looking for a smooth ride?
Just looking to replace worn out stock parts with new??

Wow clean looking Chinook! What's your goal with a suspension swap? Keep it 2wd or go up to 4wd? Too bad yours is a 76 and has to go in for smogs/inspection, because I'd likely want to do an engine swap at the same time.
I have a 75 Hilux and I can tell you right now there's not much you can tinker with on these trucks' suspension unless you go custom. Most people end up lowering these trucks, or go airbag suspension, but I'd assume you're not wanting that with an RV body that's going to see dirt. Without knowing what you want, a chassis swap from a donor vehicle could be a good direction for this, as you'd get both the drivetrain and the suspension. I'd assume the compact frames off a pickup, 1st/2nd gen 4runner/1gen Tacoma might fit well underneath the body. Not sure if it would fit or how much they'd want for one, but a Lexus GX chassis/drivetrain would likely be what I'd be seeking to swap in.
