1" diff drop with skid plate

im going to be getting a 1" diff drop to help decrease the angles of my c.v.'s on my 4runner becasue of the lift im getting and i was wondering if i have to modify my stock skidplate to allow for this mod, or of it will just bolt right up and be all dandy?

If you get Toytechs diffdrop they include some spacers for the 2nd set of mounting bolts (looking at the front of the truck back).

However, I found that there were still some clearance issues. I used my grinder and notched out a small area in the skidplate and added some additional spacers that I made (about 1/4") for the back set of mounting bolts on the smaller skid.

Basically, hold up the skid and figure out what needs to be spaced or trimmed. You can make your own spacers out of washers, etc.

I just installed a diff drop from toytec, the skid plate hits the bolts where the spacers go but its not enough to prevent you from putting it back on

Did it when I went with an OME kit. Cleared the budbuilt skid without any problems at all. Just get a budbuilt skid and you're set.

With mine, I just had to get 3 longer bolts for the top part of the front skid. everything else either still fit or parts were included to make it fit.
