I just found this on my local CL:

http://asheville.craigslist.org/cto/2243994333.html

It says 84-88, but I think it should fit an 89 because it's the same body as the 88.

here are a couple but they are new tops. You could save your money and grab one of these

these ones are a little bit more on price

Thanks a mill D runner..Ive seen both these sites.. The soft tops are also being sold through ebay and I really liked the killer toy tops..They even use the same material as the canbacks but the guy isnt making them anymore. Hes even giving out refunds for people that havent recieved theirs yet. I think if I cant find a good deal on a canback..Im going to go for a softtopper... I like that they fold back accordian style. Plus they roll up the windows as well.. I just have to figure out how im going to make a roof rack work over it...Any ideas?

My Dad made one for his jeep which is a soft top (I know a jeep) you will just have to run tube from your body up to the rack to hold it. I have seen one around portland oregon that had a rack built like that. My guess is so he could take the top off and still have the rack. I am saving for a softopper right now. I didnt know killer toy tops was out that sucks.

yep its hard to find good people to go wheeling with. The front works awsome have not had a chance to test the rear out yet hopefully on tuesday I will check it out. Have to break the gears in this weekend. Hope you find a way to mount a rack

Before I found my canback(used) I was going to get a softtopper then build a frame like the canback system later so I could use the roof rack. I don't see why you could do that since the profile of the tops are similar, but you would loose the ability to collapse the top.

yeah but I would only run the rack with the top up if I didnt want to fold it back. How much did you pick up that used canback if you dont mind me asking?

$400
I guess what I meant to say is that you wouldn't have to mount the rack to the bed, you would mount it to the frame of the topper, then just roll the sides up safari style.

well its used, has a bent hoop, and a couple small ,repaired, holes in the roof. windows are scratched also....just sayin. I'm happy with the purchase, that stuff is fixable, and it came with the roof bars.
