I'm looking for a stock radio for a 1982 Toyota 4x4 SR5 pickup. My son is trying to renovate his dad's truck.

hi janet. i think i may have 82-83 factory radio. does it need to work? think it works. i would have to check.. need anything else? lets see some pictures of truck.

I guess it doesn't have to work just to fill the whole. I know he needs the cubby that goes above the radio. I will get some photos for you. I have this old one. He's not here so I will have him send some.

Hope this works not use to this picture thing. The truck had strips on it originally but as young kids do had it re-painted by a friend for cheap and have had many problems with the guy finishing the job. Thanks for looking for the radio and as I say he does need the cubby.

just a little help maybe ? .. but the center of your hood looks low on the body line .
I might suggest setting a piece of 2x4 in the center there under the hood , SLOWLY , and I mean slowly , close the hood , bending the rear center support up , (you'll not close the hood completely)
you should do this again , very SLOWLY until your comfortable with the process .
you'll end up bending the rear of the hood and making that body line correct .. hope that helps with your project
