Just putting out a feeler here to see what's available for what kind of money. I'm thinking of retiring my 4runner as my main vehicle and I'm looking for a commuter with style. What I'm interested in is a regular cab Tacoma (color doesn't matter), 4X4, 5-speed preferred, as stripped down as possible (ie manual windows), 4 cylinder, in decent shape but doesn't need to be cherry. I know about the rust recall so I'd like to have one that is solid with no frame issues. I'm not sure what the demand is for something like this but I know everyone is on a 4 cylinder kick now with $4/gal gas. I'm looking for a nice commuter with style and the utility of a truck bed. I'm located in Iowa. Again, I'm just starting my search and trying to see what's out there, best bang for my buck, let me know what you have and how much you're looking to get for it. Thanks.
