. If this is your DD and need to drive in 100 MPD why are you jumping it?? Just because it did not break the first time, it will the 2nd or third. Common sense says to me that you would want more sidewall for offroading and compression since your tires do function as you as part your suspension
Just how long has your life been so far?
Take Fo_sheezy's advice, he knows about the 20's be worthless off road.

I never said I bent 16s or 17s. Maybe you just need to read and try to understand what people are saying, instead of trying to change the intended meaning.
They were 14s (on an '85 VW Golf GTI and '64 VW Karmann Ghia), 15s (on a '94 Mazda Navajo, same as a 2 door Explorer), and another vehicle or 2, none with rims bigger than 15 inch.
It had nothing to do with what brand I bought.
In fact, other than 2 exceptions, all of my wheels were stock. And with one exception, all of the damaged wheels were stock, and the only aluminum wheels were the stock VW GTI wheels. The rest were steel.
By the way, the worst damage was to the GTI wheel (which immediately lost air). Volkswagen makes a great car, and they are very solid built cars. You tried to imply that the bent rims I had were due to cheap wheels. That's a bunch of bull.
Fact is, more tire sidewall height equals more protection for the wheel, especially the rim of the wheel. All of my damage was from potholes and curbs, and was to the RIM of the wheel.
If it can happen with stock sidewall height (or taller than stock) tire sidewalls, it is more likely to happen with SHORTER than stock sidewalls.
Do you understand now?

theres a sensor goin to the abs module and u can create a circuit to with a switch in it which u could put in a stock location like if u order an extra switch from toyota and when u push it all it does it break the connection for the abs and once that happens the computer shuts off all abs vsc and traction good luck

Lets see some pics on the 3-4ft jumps.
NOT ALL offroading is mudding, thats just a little part of offroading, not my cup o tea, trails are alot better. Your looking for the best of both worlds, and you drive 100 miles a day to work. Hmmmmmmm lets see, this thing sees alot more street than it does any dirt, your not running harder stuff or in mud, you have 20" rims. I think the best of both worlds would be to go down to a smaller rim and get some all terrains. Those MT's are gonna cut down on your mpg, especially in that size, and they are gonna ride rough due to not alot of side wall.

yea well i dunno what to do but goin through mud is stupid with 20s bc they get so f'd up its only metal , when i get another vehicle when i get rich in one of my dreams ill do like that chaos fab long travel and do 35s very nice as for now it stays lookin street worthy

Drop to a 17" rim at biggest and get some 315's. BFG all terrains. and it will look a lot better. As for this whole thread... you sound like you are either E.L.D. or your taking pictures of your dads truck and asking questions because you are bored. and it sounds more like the second one when you only know the basics about the DTC. I did it on my 2001 4runner and hes right, but I believe its different on the newer 4runners.
