Hi All,
I discovered that I have a crack in my windshield this morning. I'll look at getting it fixed but I read somewhere that the 06 4R has a thicker windshield for wind noise reduction. Does anyone know it that windshield and seal will fit an 04 4R.

Check with your insurance company as your policy may include free windshield replacements per your policy. I have seen quite a few people have this in their policy which gives them the ability get a replacement free of charge that won't affect your rates.

Not sure but I thought the windows were all the same? Dunno but I'm on my 2nd one and most likely go thru another one as I have a crack that may grow.. ugh Regardless the windshield should be the same size since there were no changes made there so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to get the 06. Not sure how you would though since most likely you'll end up w/ an aftermarket glass like I have. Just make sure you get the good stuff and call it a day.

Yes, State Farm paid all costs when my windshield was replaced by Safelite (recommended). I asked for Toyota OEM glass and they replaced it with Toyota stamped glass. The difference I see is that the new glass has Lamipane stamped while all the other glass is stamped with Temperlite. Ask Safelite to see if the 2006 glass will fit and see if your INS will cover it.
