I own an '03 4runner that is nearly paid off and I plan to make a lot of changes thanks to the knowledge base of this site.

I just found a cool set of American Racing rims on Craig's List for $400....I'm sure I can steal them for $300.

Question is, will the 15 inchers clear my brake assembly?

6 on 5, 3" backspacing

Also, has anyone dealt with extremetrucktoys.com? They seem to have inexpensive lifts.

Do you have the Sport Edition? If so, it is very unlikely that they will. The SE has larger diameter (slightly) than the SR5/Limited and needs 17" rims to clear.

If you have an SR5/Limited, I'm not sure. The SR5 stock rims are 16" but most have the optional 17" rims.

 

why would you want to go from 16 or 17" rims, to 15" Rims? They dont clear your larger brakes anyways.

 

I have an SR5, stock rim was a 16.

I'd like to move to 15s because I had a lead a on nearly new set for a good price.

I actually bought them Chamber with Teflon? (Series 3985); 15X8....$300 for all 4 less then 300 miles on them.

I guess I'll just jack it up this weekend....

If they don't fit I'll sell them.
