Tundra brakes ?

been researching a little but all the info i come up with is for the 3rd gen 4runners, i know our 4runner came with either a 12.55 or 13" rotor, if i have the 13" rotor stock on my se then is it just a direct swap to the tundra calipers? any help would be appreciated thanks

Ok so since noone has any info I'll share what I found

The 231mm tundra brakes use caliper 13wl

My 4runner se uses caliper 13wh and 238mm

I didnt find many stories of failed 13wl calipers but did find a lot of failed 4th gen brake calipers

I don't know the size of the smaller non se caliper/rotor

What do you guys think? Loose 7mm diameter in heat dispell for a more reliable caliper setup????

I also don't know the size difference of the piston on the 13wh vs 13wl I know they are both 4 pistons, maybe even the 13wl will work w the larger rotor???

you could always do one of my favorite things to do. call up a local parts store and see if they have both calipers in stock. if they do, pay them a visit with a measuring caliper in hand and take a look at them side by side

even if they're remanufactured by two difference companies, both calipers will be based off the OEM caliper and will still be an OEM casting. only thing they do when the reman them is install new pistons and seals, bleeder valves, and clean them up a little
