Looks awesome! Must ditch the running boards, though, IMHO.

From Steve:

Hey the truck is doing great and i get compliments
everywhere!!! Im running 285/70/17 on american eagle 187s. THe offset is
4.65mm. Even with the aggressive offset i still had to do some trimming on
the fender well. I also had to remove the front mudflaps. The acceleration
diff was minimal and the truck rides great. No real tire noise or vibration,
even at 100mph+! Well if you have any other questions feel free to email me.

Also, the lift kit is going up $10 starting July 1st. No control over this due to material costs. If you order before then, you save. : )

hey...

thanks alot...

i all ready have pretty similar rims... just need new tires...
i ordered your cornfed kit this morning... ( last day of the sale )..

still wondering about the height issue...

maybe i should start a poll to see how tall everyones rig is..?

cornfed + 285's + roof rack = how tall ?

thanks again for the info...

i'll be sure to upload pics of the before and after....

TWO MORE DAYS TILL MY NEW RIDE !!!!

i'm stoked.

Funny how you can take a stock truck and make it into a monster very easily.

IF I installed a Cornfed kit, how much big tires can fit? Without cuttin off or take off mud-flap(sp?). I have a P265/70R18...It came with it when I got a 06' T4R V8 Limited model.
The cornfed kit gives you how much do I get the ground cleance? 3' ?
Stock ground cleance is 9.1 ins + 3 = 12.1 ? right?
I need your anwser and opinion...thx.

Yep, it should work. I sold one to a guy with 18X9 wheels wrapped with 275/65/18's and it worked out great.

Generally the metric tire sizes are all about the same size. Some other examples.

a 285/75r16
a 285/70r17
a 285/60r18
and say a 285/50r20

All are essentially the same height of about 33", and since your size is even smaller than these, no problem.

Depend on type of the tire you may have rubbing issues or not.
AT 285/70-R17 will rub just to triangles under the bumper.
MT 285/70-R17 will require trimming of the inner fender.
My friend has 285/70-R17 BFG AT and he had only heated and bends those triangles.
I had 275/70-R17 GY MT/R and they rubbed to the inner fender a little bit. So 285/70 will rub much more.

Can 285x70x17 fit at the spare? I am upgrade my tires to 285x70x17 and the spare too. Can the spare fit in its place after the upgrade?

Thank you,
Tyler

nope won't fit

edit:
it can fit but rubs at the panhard bar. also you'd have to keep the tire flat to accomodate this.

Yes, Lance is right. I'd recommend get an aftermarket tire carrier or use 275/70; but be careful driving with one tire off-size, you may get in trouble with ABS.
