reset check engine light

Aside from disconnecting the battery cables, does anybody know how to reset the check engine light in a 03 4runner V6?

On my friends hundai this weekend I pulled the EFI fuse for a while and it reset the check engine light, I also disconected the battery...it worked though
Don't know for sure if it works on our rigs or not though?

disconnect both battery cables
then (while disconnected from batty) hold the positive cable end to the negative cable end and hold together for 30 seconds
this works on most newer rigs

Not all codes go away this way. You can buy a cheap code reader like from harborfreight.com which also clears codes. To bad the reader won't repair the problem too.
