Overcharged AC from factory - PROBLEMS?
I just bought on '07 tacoma 2.7L and the AC wasn't working very good and I could tell that it was cycling on and off frequently. The stealership tried to push me away saying that I was incorrectly using the recirculate mode. I only had 700 miles on the thing and I told the idiot to shut up and make me an appointment.
Anyhow, they came back telling me that it was overcharged with 1.7 instead of 1.26 of the refrigerant. My question is: can this hurt anything within the compressor or AC system? I am hoping not since it was doing it's job by cycling on and off.
Thanx in advance.

It shouldn't have caused any problems. The newer A/C systems have a high/low pressure switch, where the compressor will turn off if the pressure gets either too high or too low. Sounds like this was doing it's job and preventing damage from excessive pressure.
