Not sure what to do?

I am looking to buy a 06 Tacoma SR5 with the TRD sport package with 187 miles. it is 4 wheel drive and is a boudle cab. they are asking 27,250. The truck has never been owned and is at a dealership in Ohio. i aked if anything had happened to it and they told me that when it was delivered from the trasporter truck the wind shield was broken and the roof had some damage. they said that they have fixed the problem and that it is now certified. One more thing i am in San Diego and it would cost about 1000 dollars to get it shipped here. what would you guys do?

Ask what happened to cause the damage. Ask if they have pics to verify their story. They should, as they probably filed an insurance claim for said repairs. Also, run a Carfax just to cover all bases, although tha damage history probbaly won't show up on it.

Personally, if I was going to spend ~$30k on a truck, I'd pay the extra few grand or so for the piece of mind of not thinking it ran into an overpass while atop a transporter.

Then again...if they are willing to certify it then ask for the longest possible TOYOTA MOTOR CORP.- or TOYOTA FINANCIAL SERVICES-UNDERWRITTEN warranty, and not some 3rd party warranty company.
