New Member Kodiak, Alaska

New member from Kodiak, AK...

Figured I'd give an intro, going to be popping in here for some tech advice in the not too distant future.

Rig is a 2007 AC, 2.7 - Mods thus far are:

OME 3" Lift
Light Racing UCAs
ARB Bullbar
De-Badged
FX-R 55W Projector Retrofit

About it for mods at the moment, hoping to weld up some sliders and skids - depending on what my schedule is going to look like before the Summer fishing season begins. (I'm Mate/Engineer aboard a 73' Longliner/Trawler/Crabber out of Kodiak, Alaska).

Drove the truck up the AlCan (Alaska Highway) Dec/Jan 2011/2012. Quite a trip - was a testament to the reliability and durability of our trucks! I'll post a few pictures of that drive as well.

Any questions about the Alaska Highway, fishing, Kodiak...whatever, feel free to ask.

Standing by,
Jake

...

It's absolutely beautiful up here, I have lots more pictures if anyone is interested.

To keep it tech...

Didn't know if anyone has ever heard of any vendors selling just the pieces to their rear plate-style bumper. I.e. not welded, just the pre-cut steel.

Next project on the list is a set of sliders and eventually a rear plate bumper. Was all set on the DeMello DIY Sliders until the shipping price came up! $275 for the sliders and $277 for shipping. That's one of the things that sucks about living up here; getting anything from "America" is usually really really expensive.

Have the ability and equipment to weld/fab my own - just comes down to having the time.

EatFish, I'm interested in more pictures if you've got em'. We're moving to Anchorage in October from NW Montana, and Kodiak is on the growing list for springtime adventures
