Its for my fathers rig. Its an 03 4runner SR5. He drives many dirt roads and hauls a 20' boot in the summer. I have no knowledge of these newer trucks, figured id see what you guys thought/ are running

My boat is slightly smaller, it's an older boat so it's probably as heavy or heavier. Anyways, I am running the ICON shocks with OEM springs with Firestone air bags. I have found that the airbags will compensate for the extra weight of the boat without getting stiffer springs. Does the vehicle have XREAS ?
You may not be able to run airbags if you do. FYI, the airbags are super easy to install.

 

Thanks, ill tell him. I dont think hes concerned with the weight of the boat, the runner seems to do ok with that, just needs some new shocks.

I use a F350 SuperDuty to tow the boat now. Then again it is 10k pounds.
