The studs are located on the top plate and should be easily removeable once the coil is compressed enough.

So you aren't going to need the wrech-a-thon you've been spearheading?

Keisur ... the WAT was for snoozer - he needed some hands to help him with his lift. I thought I might bring mine too, but he's talking about doing it at the end of April, and I had hoped to do mine a little sooner. I still want to come to the WAT, of course, and I have no doubt that I'll need the WAT too.

For Taints2k3: you said the rear shocks that came with your Revtek lift don't fit as snug as the stock ones. Can you explain this a little further. are they loose or is the ride/handling different?

4route, you are going to keep the stock rear shocks on?

Thanks!
Herman

Herman -- yeah, I kind of have to keep the rear shocks stock for the time being ... due to the XREAS, I mean.

"As a matter of fact, I think Daystar has released their XREAS lift instructions just today. Biff may have even gotten them in an email.

I'll be back in a little while, hopefully with pics and a write up."

Dan just sent me these

Daystar Install Instructions for XREAS runner

Hope it helps.

4route: check out this site. it has a good view of the XREAS and what you might encounter on your lift.

SacState -- that is a great site - just having help visualizing where everything is, and all the components involved ... is VERY helpful! Thank you guys for helping.

(I just saw the Passion alone, and am still recovering ...)
I can't tell from his website where he's located, but he offered a free parts and labour lift to anyone near (916) 220-2137, that would allow him to take some measurements of the top mount on their XREAS'd Runner. I hope someone steps up to the plate.
I'm going to do this. The guy is in Folsom, but I think the drive is worth it.

That would be very cool, Biff. I will be lifting mine soon ... I want to have the experience of trying to tackle this project with my own two hands. (though that is not to say that I won't need a lot of help in the process!!)

Hi Biff,

Thanks for the Daystar instructions!!

I'm a little annoyed with the Daystar guys as they seem not to follow through on following up with people, but oh well.

Ordered my Daystar lift

OK guys, I ordered my Daystar lift tonight. 2.5" front and 2" rear Used my Governator check, love Arnold!!! Got my CA license refund last night.

So my question now is, what airtools should I get as it seems to be the way to go for the spring compressors ratchet or impact wrench?? I prefer Craftsman, but which one and what accesories might be good?

I will get the spring connectors with the "lock" that goes over the coil so it cant jump off. WHat other special tools will be required??

I just sent a message to 4Route. I have the pics that I took and tried to point out some of the components and bolts involved.

I can't post them because Comcast is working on their support site and I have forgotten my password. Therefore I can't upload anything on my account there.

I can email them to someone if you want and maybe you could post them here.

They might help you see what you're getting into.

Doug M.
