2006 Tacoma Rear-end Rebuild

Rebuilding the rear locking differential on the truck and overtorqued the pinion nut with a impact gun and when measured preload it was 24 in. lbs (spec is 11-16 in lbs). I backed it off and now got 15. How bad is it if I left it now that I backed it off? Would there still be enough tension on the sleeve between the two bearings? I know they say crush sleeve is only tightened little by little but it’s only a few in. lbs which is almost nothing, would it cause any significant damage?
