I am in the market for a 4th Gen 4Runner and came across this:

A few things seem strange to me:
1. There are not badges on the vehicle (4Runner, SR5, Sport, 4x4, etc...)
2. Where is the hood scoop (Sport Editions should have them, right?)
3. I thought the Sport Edition did not have the 3rd row seat option?

What do you guys think?

 

I don't know a huge amount about 4th Gens yet but I just bought a '06 Sport Edition 4runner. So I did a bit of research. I found the same thing as you while looking. A lot of dealers list an SR5 as a sport but as far as I know that's wrong. A Sport Edition has the hood scoop and its own charcoal/black cloth seating. The '06 sport edition also got tubular roof rails and side steps.

 

hey I just last night bought an 07. dark charcoal and running boards. 4.7 v8. just retiring my 98 sr5 with leather.
