2005 Tacoma lifted, finally...

I am going to put this in here instead of the off-road forum so that we get some more information in this forum, plus it probably won't interest too many non 05+ owners.

Here are some pictures of my truck, I have slowly been gathering parts over the last year + time as good deals came along. I finally decided that 40k+ miles on the stock tires was enough and put everything on last weekend.

You can find all of the pics here:

Congrats. Looks good, although I'd ease up on the tire dressing How's the rubbing with those 295's?

It is actually spray on tire/wheel cleaner. It does go on too thick though, I am going to scrub them with some traditional tire cleaner that should get rid of all the gloss but leave them black, at least that is what I have done in the past.

The rubbing isn't bad, the backspacing of the Tundra wheels really does a lot to help with that. I trimmed the edge/corner of the flare below the last mudflap mounting bolt hole and it barely makes contact with the body mount when the wheels are turned and the suspension is compressed, I could get rid of it by grinding down the weld but I will probably end up trimming the body mount at some point, until then I won't worry about it.

I ran big (for their size) 285/75/16's (Interco TRXUS m/t's) on my 3rd gen 4runner and these tires are A LOT bigger.
