2005 Tacoma ECT location

2005 Tacoma ECT location
Can't seem to find the ECT on my 2.7L even though the schematic shows it to be on the drivers side near the back of the engine. Is it under that black circular plastic housing? I'm trying to do that ECT/resistor mod. Is there an easier way?
