2-Jaw Puller Tool for Spindle?
#1
I picked up a puller tool today to use when I replace my stock UCAs with some All Pro ones. I got it because it was indicated in the repair manual as being necessary to disassemble the front assembly. For anyone who has done a similar upgrade, is the puller actually necessary? If I don't REALLY need it then I can return it and save almost $30.

This procedure references it (https://www1.autozone.com/addVehicle...00c152801ae49c)
Having never worked on 4Runner suspension before, I don't know if that is an applicable step when I'll be replacing the entire UCA.

I don't see any purpose for the puller. The only thing it might be useful for is pulling the pitman arm off the steering gear. Once you release the tension on the torsion bars, its all nuts and bolts. Really simple.
