08 4runner 4.0l

Hello peeps, I'm new here but in desperate need of help, I recently took my 08 4runner 4.0L on holidays 3300kms and on our way back home my engine light came on, I had it scanned and it said crank sensor P0016 code, I have since changed the crank, cam x 2 sensors & the VVT solenoids and I have also had it relearned to sync the sensors for timing but the code still comes up every now and then does anyone have any thoughts why this code keeps coming back? thanks in advance

What if anything did you have done under the hood before you left on the holiday? After everything you have done I would be looking at a bad ground on the engine harness or a short in a wire. Maybe someone had unplugged something to get the harness out of the way. That could create a short.

Pay special attention to the grounds. I think there is one from the frame to the engine right buy the steering shaft to the rack. That could easily be bumped or disturbed.

you changed the crank and the camshafts because of this code? did you have the engine rebuilt too? seems like a lot of work for a sensor code
