Yota Down! Shorted E1 to +Battery (Will it kill the ECU?)

So my 91 4runner (3.0, AT, 4x4) is dead.

Cranks over but doesn't fire or anything.
Engine light does not come on with the other lights when the key is on.

I tried to jump 12v from the battery to the Fp on the diagnostic box under the hood to test the fuel pump but I guess I missed the hole and accidentally hooked it to E1.

The wire got hot and I think I just jumpered in a dead short.

Will this kill the ECU???!!!

It wouldn't start and there were no signs of life before, so I don't know if I now have a dead ECU to deal with in addition to the original problem.

I did check the voltage from the Bat and E1 pins on the ECU and I'm only getting .25v with the key on. (Was doing this before I shorted it out as well)

I think the engine light was not lighting because the ECU isn't getting enough power, but now I don't know if I have a dead computer to boot!

This thing is a piece of work. Looks like the PO had spliced in a harness right by the ECU but everything has been crimped (not soldered) about 1 inch from the firewall. I think there's a bad connection and that's why the ECU is not getting power, but now I'm not sure if I cooked it.

Help!

Well, if its a 91, your 15A EFI fuse is under the hood. Replace it, you will be good to go!

Replaced the fuse and the engine light came on so it looks like the computer is still good.

Cranked it over and it was back to start and die.

Pulled codes (now that the engine light is working) and pulled a 14.

Played around with the coil and ignitor connectors and it started running.
Took it for a spin around the block and it died when I pulled up. Got another code 14.

Looks like it's narrowed down to the ignition system and I'll start swapping parts tomorrow. All is good in Yotaland!

Thanks alot for the speedy advice. I was SERIOUSLY concerned
