Yet another Blower question. Please help
Hello again;
I have searched and I have read other posts, but my electrical knowledge is shaky at best. I have a bunch of switches taken out of trucks from the local PnP. I ordered a new resistor at the dealer today. While prepping for the resistor install and removing the glove box. I hit the blower motor and it started spinning. It would only spin for a few minutes and then stop. It would only spin at a speed that barely made any difference. I also noticed that the connector that the switch plugs into has a brown spot on the plastic over the large terminal to the right. Can anyone help me pinpoint the problem. Its snowing tonight and while I can deal with the cold, my windows are fogging up something fierce. If I can't see then I can't drive. Sorry for the rant, but I need to get this fixed and I am not sure where to start.

Jer,
The "browning" over the connector indicates that it got hot. You might want to pull it off, see if the connection to the wire is good.. Alternately, just clip it and resolder - don't crimp. We've got 20 year old vehicles and when the connections get crappy they build up heat and fail.
Try playing with that connector - see if it increases your fan speed... If so, you've got a current limiting connector right there.
