I want to send my alt to Boyle's Future Tech to have it upgraded, but would like to avoid downtime if possible. If anyone has an unused 1991 or 1992 4runner alternator lying around I'd like to buy it from you! I'll pay via paypal, but I'd like for you to ship it to Boyle's Future Tech directly...we can talk about that once I pay though!
One thing, the alternator design changed in 1993, so I really, really want to make sure that this donor alternator is coming from a 1991 or 1992 4runner.

hi deathcougar, thanks for your post to my thread about upgrading my alt! what's that 1-800 number you sent to me, would that be for a new/reman'd one? the reason I am buying used is because Boyle's will completely strip the innards of the alt and only use the the outer casing...so I don't need a new/reman'd one, or even one that works. I'm trying to save as much $ on a junker in good condition, that I can use as a 'shell for the new upgraded insides. all I need though is that the outer casing be in good shape. sorry I didn't make this clear from the get-go

OMG!! deathcougar! Why have I never heard of nix99 before?? You guys are the biggest toyota used parts supplier on the west coast? and right around the corner from me!! I have been buying my used toyota parts from yotayard in colorado!!!! this is incredible, you're right next door. H**L YEAH I'll buy the used alternator from you and thanks for cutting me a deal! I'm going to PM you, I have some more parts that I'm looking for and also an impossible part...I have the 2nd gen cargo cover that only existed in the canadian models, but I can't install it because my panels aren't designed to accept the side attachments and there's no track for it to slide along...if there's any way that we can find or fab some parts to get that cargo cover installed that would be GREAT!! thanks deathcougar
