Would *YOU* buy this housing?
I've been looking for a 22RE Turbo T stat housing for a while now, so I Can locate both my OEM and aftermarket temp senders there (Turbo has 2 bungs, and 22RE has one). I'm currently running a hose adapater in my top radiator hose, but would rather have the senders in the same location, at the T stat.
That said, I came across one finally and have been going back and forth with the seller this past week.
He said that one of the two holes in the flange is ground down a bit (possibly to make room for some component on the intake??), but that other than that, it's fine. Both senders unscrewed from the bungs so they aren't frozen.
See the ground down flange below....

He wants $35 shipped to me for this - I offered him $25 shipped due to the ground down flange. Is his a fair price? Should I worry about the flange at all or just use a washer and call it a day?
Thanks guys....

That hole is drilled out. More than likely he had a bolt break, drilled it out and used an oversize bolt. Take a look at the bottom of it. Make sure he didn't "bore" out to far and into the sealing surface. A washer should work.

Can he give you a view from the end so you can see how much was ground off? It does seem that a good washer would do the job. There is not a whole lot of weight or torque there as a lot of it is supported by the hose.
A new one port outlet can be had for $48 with shipping from from Toyota OEM dealers.
$25 seems fair.

Thanks guys for the responses - I can ask him for that view.
While I can get a new one port outlet for $48, I can't get a two port outlet, and that's what I've been after (I already have a one port outlet for my dash OEM gauge - I want the second sender to be next to the OEM one).
Other thing I'm now realizing is that the fittings are not the same for the sender (Autometer is NPT) and the OEM bung. Check out this feedback on another thread I chimed in on:

Have you guys ever drilled/tapped into an OEM waterjacket for a sender? I'm worried due to the thin walls and lack of bung. The welding advice seems OK, but will my Flux Core/MIG work on Aluminum? I thought it was for steel only.

Yeah, I was just using the one port as a $$ reference.
Does AutoMeter have an adapter?

Oops, maybe no adapter after looking at the other thread.
