Ya i dont need a special engine or anything, i just posted this to see if anyone out there had a 2.7 22re, or a tech had ever seen one, or if it was a misprinted sticker..and to get the right parts..ive heard the same thing everywhere but thats that factory sticker ive been looking at for years, driving me crazy..maybe i did take a pic before i scrapped the old hood i usually would.. if i find one ill post it, but it is what it is.. i cant get a hold of anything but 2.4 parts anyway

22re = 2.4 liters.
Someone put the wrong sticker under your hood or the previous owner swapped the hood (I dunno if it would fit). That is all.

 

Got the head off and found.... a standard 3.6 inch bore! But you knew that anyway...ill be happy to forget about it now.

 

lc makes a stroker kit for the 22re that makes it a 2.7, possibly you have a lc crank in there
