Wiring alternator and igitor/coil 22r??

Im trying to wire up a stock alternator and ignitior/coil without the stock wiring harness and ECM.Ive looked at a bunch of sites like mad electrical and some diagrams people put together for the alternator wiring but im not that good at reading diagrams. I completely removed the harness because the truck is off road only and doesn't need any emissions stuff(has weber carb). Its an 87 so it has the internal regulated alternator. So far this is what i figured out(correct me if im wrong):

Yellow= charge light (do i hook it to the positive or negative side of the charge light?
Red= ignition (tells the alternator to start and stop charging)
White/green= Sensor (senses voltage so the alternator can charge properly. Why does it go through a 40amp fuse just to sense voltage?)
White= output (connect to battery with a fuse rated for the output of the alternator)

ALSO, what wires do i hook up to make the stock ignitor/coil assembly work when the ignition is turned on and off? The guy that wired it before i bought the truck tapped into the white (maybe tan/brown) wire that goes into the coil itself(from the ignitor) and it worked But There is a plug that has two wires that goes into the ignitor that was hooked up which i think it what is supposed to make the ignitor/coil assembly work but iam not sure if it was being used. SO, My guess is one wire goes to that noise filter and grounds and the other is positive from the ECM but i could jsut connect to the ignition switch? would that work?

Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!!
