Will a 1994 be go on a 1988 truck
Ok I just got another toyota. 1988 sr5 single cab 5 speed 22re. The bed is way beyond repair. This truck was being put down by the original owner becouse of the bed. So I saved it from their back yard. The rest of the truck is not bad and the frame is good as far as I have seen. I do need to get under it for a further inspection. The original owner which was the woman that I got it from had it under coated when it was new.
I sell junk cars to a yard down the road from me and now they have a 1994 2wd. I can get the bed for $100. Needs alittle bit of work and the tail gate is rusty. The other yard they own further down the road has a 4wd 1994 which looks cleaner. My question is, are the two beds different. I have seen some on a different post that looked like the rear axle was not centered and some that looked great. Are the wheel wells or flare bigger on a 4wd bed. I need to know before they are gone. Finding a toyota in the junk yard in nj is like finding gold.
Also someone on another post was saying that six out of eight bolts will line up which isn't bad. Is there anything else that I need to know about the swap. I am going to check the price on the 4wd bed. Help me saving this yota. She's 185,000 miles youngand runs great.

flares on the 4wd bed are definitely bigger. Cannot speak for the cutout size, but the flare extension is definitely further out and would cover more of the tire than the 2wd one would.
