my 1990 2door 4runner

 

my buddy has a 90 2door fully loaded except a/c and its black, looks much better than a 4door imo and having full size doors like pickups is cool too. actually going to try and buy it off him if i can lol

 

theres a nice one a few blocks over been in the driveway for a year

 

yea im refixing a few thing s on it then im selling it maybe im not so sure

 

i think if i buy my buddys im going to cut the roof off and make it like a 1st gen with a removable top and a roll bar i know there kinda rare and all but its way more badass than having no removable top and being it a 2nd gen it will be sweet people will be like what?? is?? that?? a 2nd gen removable top 4runner??? and ill be like yep they only made one haha

Mine has no AC so the pop out windows on the side work great for venting some of the heat. I've never seen another one so far in person. The problem with mine is it is pretty rusty. The black rockerguard is hiding some dissolved fenders heh.

 

I remember back in High School, one of my richie rich friend's parents bought him a new (90) 2 door 4runner 4x4 and I was in awe!! lol But that's the only one I've seen since.

 

Well the thread was a year old, but i guess thats not as bad as the ones that are like 3 years old

I have a 2 door. 1990 22re 5spd.

Here's mine fully loaded w/ sunroof 3.0 5spd w/ 4:56's w/ trailmaster lift, thinking about doing a blazeland setup on the front since the bushing in the control arms look a little worn, hell it has 300,XXX miles on the odometer. I currently have the interior torn apart replacing some sun beat panels and while i was at it i decide to dynamat the interior and redo the stereo at the same time. I've done a whole led interior so far with red leds in the dash looks pretty neat and white leds for the overhead lights. I might do a write up on it to share with you guys, I've been taking alot of pics. Currently the short block is at the machine shop for a refresh while I finish up porting the heads basically a whole rebuild and a little updating to a 92-95 front end at the same time, I've already got my rock sliders ready to be installed, I want to do ARB bumper but before I do that I got to sell my blue one 1st since its almost done the way I want it to look, because rebuilding/upgrading 2 4runners at the same time is starting to get really expensive. I hope to have it up and running at the end of the year.

 

Wow the 2nd gen 2 doors look slick : ) I think the 4 doors look to fat lol

 

I got one been restoring her for over a year now sigh. Just got a windshield for her and i know its dirty, but thats because im not done painting lol.

 

i would HATE having a 2Door runner....that would SUCK.

that's why i didn't get a 1st gen runner..i wanted 4 doors.

 

Why?
The 2door doors are longer like a trucks, so theres plenty of room to squeeze in ppl
