I have a 94 pick up with 4wd with the 3.0 and I think factory 4.10 anywho I want a mini spool for it, but cant find one. Any ideas on where to pick one up?

You cannot get a mini spool for a Toy. Full spool, locker (lunchbox, ARB, or electric) or welded is our only choice.

OK I stand correcte. When I bought my spool there wasn't a mini. Damn I hate dial-up (I really did have the link opening)

looks like mini spool sits inside the carrier and a normal spool replaces it.

We were thinking we just want it locked on the cheap and reversible what axle do we have? 8" or 8 bolt?

Spools are cheap and reversible. Its all bolts. With a full spool you just replace the entire carrier and put your ring gear on the spool.

thats why I was thinking mini spool or lunch box locker... The truck its for is going to be prerun and if all goes to plan raced this may but just in case I need to drive it on the street I want to be able to take it back to an open diff easily. At least with a lunch box locker I can drive on the street no big deal but the spool is cheaper.

No idea, you would have to call them.

I would go with the lunch box locker or if you really feel the need to swap back and forth to open rear, get a second third member. That way you can weld up the one for "free" and then have a second to run home with on the road. Sounds like a lot of work. You might just scout the junkyards for a toyota e-locker. Then it's the best of both with a flip of the switch.

THE LIST

buy new harnesses
mount bump cans on rear
tune/rebuild coilovers
buy a fuel cell and mount/plumb it
paint the whole truck for the anti-ghetto look
build a front bumper (after building my bender)
build rear bumper extensions (in case we get nerfed)
new exhaust out the bedside
mount new seats
new windhield(optional; I dont mind spiderwebs but tech might)
add brake lights on bedcage
lock the rear
All this stuff plus more while keeping the tired 3.0 alive and learning the truck more...

Gotta love it!

i'd spend the money for a full spool if you want it spooled. yes you could weld it but everyone i know who's welded their rear end it wasnt a matter of IF it blew up, but WHEN.

or save for an ARB... open when you want, Spool when you want

I would love to full spool a spare 3rd with 5.13s but I need to find a deal on a 3rd with 5.13s first ha ha
